Dr. Mayer studied Analytical Chemistry and gained her MS, and PhD working in the area of mass spectroscopy and chromatography. After working in industry for several years, having managed both people and operations, she completed her MBA with an emphasis in marketing. Dr. Mayer has working at Pfizer Inc for over five years in the Pfizer Global Research & Development (PGR&D) division, where she supports Pfizer's Strategic Alliance (SA) endeavors. Over her tenure at Pfizer, she has supported all Research and Development groups across the PGR&D Portfolio (Discovery Chemistry, CNS Therapeutic Area Pharmacokinetics, Dynamics, and Metabolism (PDM), Safety Sciences, and Pharmaceutical Sciences). Currently, she is managing a very active portfolio of external alliances in the area of Biologics for Pfizer's St. Louis MO site, and is globally responsible for the Analytical Research and Development Portfolio for Pharmaceutical Sciences. Over her career Dr. Mayer has completed many hundreds of deals, including multi-million dollar deals requiring Steering Committees, and was instrumental in the success of a joint-venture. Prior to joining SA, Dr. Mayer was employed by Gelman Sciences and Pall Corporation as a global Marketing Manager in the area of Analytical Chemistry, and was a QA/QC Manager for the Nutrition and Cosmetics Division at BASF, where she managed the department, 9 production facilities, and was responsible for 5 different FDA regulated product categories.
